After she walked a long way, the handle of the jar broke and the flour began to spill behind her along the road. Heedless, she noticed nothing. When she arrived, she set down the jar and found it empty.
~ (V. 97, The Text of the Gospel of Thomas)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

We want to take the opportunity to remind you all of a few truths of the Kingdom that we are a part of; from the shared text we remind each other what it means to be a follower of Christ and called to the Kingdom:

Remember that it is a journey, and it can be seemingly a long one at times. Often when we start out we have lots of vigor and energy. We are fresh, ready and alert. But as we walk a long way, we get weary. When tiredness sets in we tend to miss things, sometimes important things. We focus so much on just getting to the destination that we have in mind, that we miss what is happening in that present moment in the journey.

Remain alert. We always must stay vigilant. We must never slip into complacency or just going through the motions. If we do, we may miss the small cracks and seemingly little damage that will drain away our life and our resource that we meant for something else.

The flour was used to make bread, and bread was used to sustain and build life. The flour was spilling out behind her on the road, little by little. Life was slipping away where she had already been, only to be trodden down on the road underfoot by others. Unaware of the waste because we got tired on the journey and never addressed the damage that happened along the way in our weariness.

She eventually did get to her destination, only to realize then and at that moment that she was in fact empty-handed. She had been so focused on just getting there, that she missed what was happening to her along the way. So focused on a future and final destination, she did not realize what was happening in the present moment. If she had paid attention anywhere along the way, she might have been able to save something. But a distracted mind, the monotony, routine, drudgery, weariness, and the unaddressed cracks along the way left her walking empty.

The Kingdom is a journey within that is happening right now, in this present moment. Jesus is the Way. As you follow him, be in the journey right now with I AM. Avoid the complacency that comes with world-weariness. Rather, wait on the Lord and He will renew your strength, He will refresh your mind and your heart. When you are in the present moment, you won't miss the little foxes that destroy the vine and the small cracks that leach out your life. You will be aware and can address the damages that come on the journey of life so that though you may get to the end of your journey with a broken vessel, you will be full and ready to be poured out according to the Master's will and purpose. Your journey will not have been in vain as someone who just made it; someone who arrived empty handed with a depleted shell. Be aware, remain vigilant, be present and a good steward of the life and value you carry. Your journey will be complete in God's timing, how you live in the moment will affect how you arrive in your tomorrows.

Blessings in Christ

Find The Truth And Live By It
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. The pursuit of Truth is the pursuit of Christ. So seek out the truth, and when you found it, live by it. That also means that when you find out you have been tricked, believed in a lie, or made a decision based on the wrong information, be quick to let go of that which is false and align your life with that which is true.

Be A Force For Good
In all that you do in your time and your efforts in the earth, be a force for good. Be good because our Heavenly Father is good. No that at all you do your labors are not in vain. Know that good shines bright, even as evil reinforces the darkness. The world needs those that will commit themselves to being a force for good. The hope of humanity is found in the ambassadors of Truth, light, and those that are forces for good during an age where evil is going into overdrive as their time is coming to an end.

Practice Detachment
Practice detachment from the fruits of our actions. We've mentioned a number of times that success is in our obedience and not in the outcomes of our actions. Jesus Christ is the head, as he speaks we do and respond. The results are in his hands. If your focus is on reaping the benefit of the things you do, or dealing with the consequences of the mistakes you've made, you are still wrapped up in the affairs of this life. Yes, we are in this world. But we are not of this world. Do not get attached to the outcomes or to any identity in this life, be it good or bad. When you let go of all that this world is, and all that is in this life, then there is nothing holding you and nothing you are holding onto that keeps you here and bound into a temporal and base reality. You are then living in the freedom which God intended you to have. It is your right in Christ Jesus, live it.

Persevere
To him who overcomes. That is the instruction for every follower of Christ. Be the overcomer. The way you overcome is to keep going. When things are hard or difficult it is fine to take them to the Lord in prayer, to deal with the struggles you face, to admit the pressure you feel. But persevere. Keep going. Don't lose faith, don't give up. Run your race , and continue on with God has for you.

Go With What You Know
In the times where you struggle with an assurance of what God is saying, and you struggle with doubts, just go with what you know. Continue on with the things that you are sure of, the truth that has been revealed to you, that which you are certain of. As little as it may seem to be at times, it is enough. You don't need the food for a lifetime, you just need your daily bread. You don't need to know everything, you just need to know what you need to know. Go with the truth that has been revealed to you, and what you know. God will be right there with you in your journey.

God bless you all as we go into 2015! Wishing each and everyone of you an amazing year ahead.

The progression of a minister of Jesus Christ through the earth is similar to our Savior’s own time here. The examples were recorded in the scriptures
to both encourage and strengthen you, knowing that the things that our Savior
went through were similar to the challenges of our existence at such a time as
this.

The calling of God is simply that, the calling of
God. It is between you and your Creator;
not something requiring collective agreement, universal approval, or a vote of
the majority. He calls, you respond. At the same time, when you
begin to move with even a grain of certainty in the ways and calling of God,
don’t be surprised when the world system around you gets activated in a barrage
of attempts to pull you back into bondage.
Oppression, seduction, persecution, slander, judgment, isolation; the
techniques have been perfected over thousands of years and operate through
willing human agents that remain part of their system. Pray for them that they too may be set
free. Bless them by living and being in
the Truth. But never join them again in
their slavery for Christ has set you free.

As you move forward in the ministry Christ has planned
for you, don’t be surprised if it is few and far between that are grateful for
what you do as you respond to the leading and the guiding of His Holy
Spirit. We do what we do, not for
the thanks or the praises of men. We do what we do out of gratefulness to God and out of a heart of deep gratitude towards Him for
His love for us. When we encounter
gratitude from others along the way, we appreciate it as an added blessing. But we do not do what we do for the praises
of man, nor do we flinch at the criticisms and attacks that come either. In both cases we are dead to the world and
alive in Christ.

Seek His peace within, where you can make
your decisions and choices from that place of peace. Then your choices, joy,
happiness, fulfillment, and all that is important to you will not be contingent on
anything external; it is in that place of peace that you see the true manifestations of the inward progression
into the Kingdom of God. It is no
coincidence that the passage of Luke 17 regarding the story of the ten lepers
is followed up with the answer to the Pharisees regarding the Kingdom of God.

What should your priorities be, where should you spend your "time" (which ultimately is an illusion), what is truly important, what is worth doing, what is worth saying, what is worth investing the life that you have been given in?

Without the answers to the important questions of life, a person ends up delaying and wasting the gift of life that they have been given. There are those out there who take advantage of these unanswered questions and suggest that life's meaning can be obtained in the abundance of their possessions, in fame, notoriety, prominence, power, position in the world and the world system ... all of this is hogwash. Or as Solomon would say, "meaningless, meaningless, all is meaningless" that the world would have to offer you.

The first and most important thing in life is to go through the right door, after which the rest of life unfolds. Jesus is the gate, without first going through Him into eternal life a person is left outside and grasping for meaning in a meaningless world system with no life in it and of itself. You FIRST need to have the answer to the most important questions in life answered, the ultimate purpose of your existence being to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. And an extension of that being to love your neighbor as yourself, which is a natural overflow of the abundant life in Him.

Once the main question has been answered, of who you are and who you are in Him (your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ), from there life can and does unfold. From there you can walk out each and everyday as you trust in Him and follow His leading and guiding. His sheep know His voice and they follow Him. He leads them through this life, often ending up going through the valley of the shadow of death. Though we go through trying and difficult situations in life, those experiences end up shaping us and revealing even more of Christ in us, the hope of Glory. The things that we end up going through, as difficult as they may be, are the very things that God uses to reveal His glory in us and His presence and hand upon our lives.

Despise not the chastening of the Lord, despise not the difficult times that He would lead you through. It is in the darkness that light breaks forth, it is through the difficulty that you are made strong and ready for all that is to come. It is through the darkness that light breaks forth, that He shines His light in your soul and reveals the vision that He has for you for the life and the time that you would live while you are on the earth. It is a blessing to go through difficulty while your are following Christ, that is why the scriptures tell us to consider it pure joy when you face trials and tribulations of all kinds.

Rejoice brothers and sisters in Christ! It is a new time! And it is a glorious time for the True Sons and Daughters the living God as they are revealed in this time.
In Christ,
Keep on keepin' on.faithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-72935752271598656602012-07-03T02:39:00.000-07:002012-07-03T02:39:29.614-07:00It Comes With Authority ...Responsibility. As much as people in the world desire to lord over one another, to make decisions that effect others, to be in control, few understand the price tag associated with position and authority. The greater your authority, the bigger the impact of your decisions. The stronger the impact of the choices you make on the lives of others. The cost of failure is greater and the benefit of success is further reaching.

Allow God to grow you at His own pace, he is the gardener. He knows what you need and what you do not need. He knows what you can handle and what you cannot. He knows your limits and your limitations and He will stretch you, mold you, build you and fashion you into His image in His time. But you will need to trust Him and submit yourself to His hand; submit yourself to His leadership and to His guidance through it all.

To seek position or power independent of Him that you do not have the grace of God to handle is a mistake. Submit your desires, ambitions and thoughts unto Him and accept His choices for you, for He will lead and guide you into all truth and order your steps.

Pro 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Do not go the way of your mind and thoughts, but look to the Spirit to lead and guide you:

Pro 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

Pro 3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Pro 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

Pro 3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

For the follower of Christ it is a life of Spirit, led by the Spirit ...

Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Be encouraged for He is in control. You only need to submit yourself to His Lordship, to His guidance, to His authority in your life of your free will and your choice. In that place of existence, He will move with and through you because you choose it, you desire it. Be at peace and trust Him in all things. Shalom.

Trying to keep your head afloat at whatever level life seems to find you in. Do you ever wonder what is the reason for all of "this"? This life, this world, this harsh grinding experience? You, being a child of the most High God don't really fit here do you?

2Pe 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
2Pe 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
2Pe 2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

Nope. If you truly be a child of God, you will have a different nature and a different character to that of the world around you. This season of the wheat and the tares growing together in an increasingly compressed world is both exciting and pressing at the same time. Interconnection and sensory overload requires you to get away, to find a secret place and to withdraw with the Father. With all trying to draw you without, you must of your free will seek to go within for that is where the Kingdom is:

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

So how do you stay true? How do you stay on track in this time and in this age? That has always been the challenge for the children of God. To keep their hearts set on things above, to store up their treasure in Heaven where rust and moths don't destroy and where thieves don't break in and steal. And YES, they are stealing and breaking in at a rate today that is unheard of. And decay has escalated as the earth wears out like a garment:

Isa 51:4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
Isa 51:5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
Isa 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
Isa 51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
Isa 51:8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

Take heart my brothers, your salvation draws near. Take heart my sisters, in Him is your trust well placed. Be of good courage and keep the faith to the very end, for this is the battle to which you have been called.

In Christ,

The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-86675282396213036492011-06-12T13:15:00.000-07:002011-06-12T13:14:39.022-07:00Press On, Press InIt's been a rough few weeks. Trials on numerous fronts have left a number of us feeling shell shocked. Numb. Haven't we been down this road before? Didn't we already go through this lesson?
Yes and No.
Yes, we have gone through before. No, not this cycle and not at this depth. Each trial takes you deeper, even as a shovel digging the earth. Deeper we go, cutting through your being one painful scoop at a time. You are getting to the core. You are getting to I AM. The very essence and nature of God to be revealed in you as you discover that He is and you are not. Oneness in Him is life and reality, all else is death and decay. All else is transitory and passes away.
That which we go through pushes us to make a decision. Do we press in or do we look without? While the victory is not contingent on our best efforts, their is a spiritual direction involved. Your will is involved, your will is engaged. You must (and you do) choose, every moment of every day.
Scarcely would we have survived even to this point had it not been for the hand of God protecting us, leading and guiding us through a corrupt and crooked world. If the Lord had not been on our side, all our enemies would have swallowed us alive. And yet, despite their murderous, thieving, deceitful intent the children of God are still here. We survive, and in this time we now thrive.
We thrive because God intends it to be so. We thrive now because God wants it to be understood that promotion comes from the Lord. He lifts one up, and tears another down. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness there of.
Be what God made you to be. Now is the time. Don't delay, why would you when it is available now. The way: Truth and Life.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-3950160709480805132011-06-06T12:15:00.000-07:002011-06-06T12:14:50.804-07:00Spending Till You Are SpentBrace yourself for the task at hand. We are moving into a busy season for the children of God. For those of you that have complained about life passing you by, look up! Your wave is here, catch it. You are now in motion, get on with it.
It is a glorious ride ahead. God wants to prove a point through His people. We are not destined for anything in this temporal world; consequentally neither poverty nor riches and success matter to us. What is important is knowing and following Christ. To often the thought has been that God's people must ONLY be the broken, the shattered, the marginalized, the outcast. But the reality is that the outer state matters little to the true follower of Christ. While we go through His ordained seasons for our lives and His desired preparation of our beings; we will be fashioned into what He desires. To be a prince or a king is not excluded from His people (though rare in the modern era). You will be what God intended you to be! Shalom.
Brace yourselves ... And enjoy!
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-59129213453583126102011-03-23T13:09:00.000-07:002011-03-23T13:10:27.284-07:00The AgitationIt is perhaps normal to feel like there is a burr under your saddle. You won't press in if you feel comfortable; when you feel like something is not right you will wonder what is going on and inquire of the Lord.
There is peace for the follower of Christ. There is also agitation. There is heat and pressure on your soul. All are normal. You are not losing your mind, nor have you taken a wrong turn. The call is always to overcome, to go through. A stark contrast to the worlders who are constantly seeking to get out.
Go through the situation and go through it well! In the process, if you are struggling with a situation then take it to God in prayer. The victory (i.e. overcoming) comes when you go within with Christ. When you go within a change takes place. Once you meet God on the matter at hand peace is found. The King declares a verdict on whatever it is that you are going through and all is well. Though your external situation may not have changed in the slightest, within you are different. The situation does not change, you change! The dungeon becomes a place of praise and worship, a place where the Spirit Of God flows into and through because you are completely given over to Him for His plan and purpose.
Be at peace!
Shalom,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-36794087576369723752011-03-19T13:52:00.000-07:002011-03-19T13:54:00.894-07:00Walking Through It AllYes, the Worlders get mad when you walk through the traps set for you. When you remain whole within and unaffected. Their goal is to affect you; is to draw your attention in to something (anything) as long as they can get it off of the real Jesus Christ. That is the assignment they have from the spirits that work through their souls. They are assigned to get you off of "within" (Luke 17:20-21) and to pull you without. Get you wrapped up in the external, in the temporal, in the carnal. Indulge. Or if you won't partake, then defend yourself for not meeting the world's expectations of you.
We often respond with "I'm sorry, i think you confused me with someone that cares." Because, when it comes to the worlders, we don't think/live/respond the way they do. We have differene priorities, a different heart, a different focus. As much as they care not for the things of the Kingdom of Light (except to perhaps the extent that they can twist them to fit their agenda), We care not for the things of the kingdom of darkness and the priorities of this world. We exist in polar opposites for a short window of time.
This is the only paradigm possible where the wheat and the tares can grow together. It is only possible in this dimension.
While the worlders believe that they will fulfill their agenda through lies, manipulation, man-made control, bribery and blackmail they will begin to realize in this next stage that the ship they have been building won't hold together in the storm God will unleash that is on the horizon. The very breath that is in their bodies is on loan from our Creator. He need only require what is His and they would all collapse where they stand. Game over. But, He will allow it to continue, for He is working out a greater plan and purpose through all that will transpire. For starters, He will begin now to shatter their illusion of security. High level champions in their system will fall suddenly and be removed. Those with eyes to see in the spirit will understand what is transpiring, but those in the natural will only be shocked and stunned. Much in the way that the Philistines were stunned when their champion Goliath was taken out by a shepherd boy. They thought they were invincible! After all, the insults on God's people had carried on for a long time. But God decided to bring some perspective. And when He did through David the shepherd boy the enemies of light were stunned and then ran like the cowards they are.
When they begin to fall, the world attempt to enshrine them. But know now that they are simply eternal garbage that was apparently swept off the stage early to make a point to all who remain. Psalms 2 & 149.
Blessings in Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-58013223812700675472011-02-18T12:12:00.000-08:002011-02-18T12:13:39.275-08:00Listen And LearnTo many are tossed too and fro with every wind of doctrine. No foundation in Truth, no foundation in Christ Jesus. When you listen to His voice, when you settle yourself at His feet ... you learn and you grow. And when you learn you know what to do as you walk through this life.
When your life is filled with His Word, the living Word of God, in that place when something contrary comes your way you know it. It does not match. It is not in oneness with the voice of the Spirit of God witnessing inside your soul. God speaks, His people listen. They follow the voice of the Good shepherd.
The world bombards you and your mind to try to break that oneness you have with the Spirit of God. Love of money, love of self, pride, sex outside of God's provision in the covenant of marriage, lying, ... Sin breaks your oneness with God and His Holy Spirit.
Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus! Why? Because the mind that is in Christ Jesus is one with God. A mind that is in you that is NOT the same as Christ Jesus' is NOT one with God. That mind is not at peace. That mind does not know the way to go and does not know what to do nor how to do it.
Listen to the voice of the Spirit of God. When you hear Him, obey Him. It is simple, so simple that a child can do it (and often does). Love God, love Truth, love to give, love to be poured out according to the will of God.
Be Blessed,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-60057428504133783912011-02-12T10:43:00.000-08:002011-02-12T10:44:56.860-08:00Rise And FallIt is in God's hands, the rising and the falling of individuals, families, towns, cities, states, nations. If He decrees prosperity, a land prospers. If He declares destruction a nation crumbles. All is under His power and authority.
That said, He allows for the expression of free will and decision making. He wants His creation to choose life, yet He allows them to decide the way they will go. He calls out to many, but they must make the choice to respond to the call or to reject truth and continue in their own way/the way of the World. God is not looking for robots. He wants a Bride that above all else and through every obstacle still chooses to press through to be with the one she loves. That is who Jesus wants to spend eternity with. Not with the harlet with roving eyes, but his beloved who only has eyes for the Son. Her only desire is Him and no other.
God tests that resolve when someone chooses to start down the track to be with Christ. He tests the will and the decision one makes to want to be with Him. Really? You want to walk with Him? You want to know Him? At what cost, how far are you willing to go? Will you meet Him in like fashion; laying down all to be with you (and I).
He wants us to be equally yolked with Him. It is a wedding and an eternal union. Once He knows you will follow Him, that your heart is only for Him, there is no more need for you to be on the fire of testing. You are done. You are now ready for your showing and to engage in the work He has destined for you in this life. Sure, you will go through difficulties and you will encounter challenges, but they won't be the same as before. Something within has changed so that the externals don't determine your state. Your reality is now firmly rooted in the Kingdom that is within.
Know that He is control. Make the choice to choose life. Whatever He gives you to do, seek to do it well and as unto Him. Choose to live and not just to exist. Be thankful for what you have and what you get for your labours, be it a lot or a little. Look to Him for all things.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-56657948297263250042011-02-02T10:49:00.000-08:002011-02-02T10:59:21.654-08:00What You Can Change And What You CannotWe've heard it expressed in numerous ways, "You can't change others, the only thing you can change is the way that you respond to them." It's true. This is part of the discipline of the disciple of Christ Jesus. To learn mastery of thyself. To possess your vessel. You present your body a living sacrifice. You are required to do that, I am required do that. (Scriptures calling it your "reasonable service" in Romans 12 essentially means that the least we can do is live holy). The will is involved, the will is engaged.
This is true of our response to others, of our response to this fallen world and all that it does. We have little to no control of all that is going on around us. In fact, there are many seasons where God allows evil to flourish (prior to it's destruction, a time of filling up the cup so to speak). Ours is not to create a utopia on earth, ours is to walk with and serve the King. It begins within. The Kingdom is within.
It is within that you have the ability to make change, it is within where you have the ability to surrender all to the will of God, to the Prince Of Peace. It is within that you can do what you long to see done in the world without. Within you can surrender to God, you can seek to follow Him, you can obey His voice, you can cast down everything that exhalts itself against the knowledge of God. That is also why they work so hard to try and keep you "with-out"; to keep you wrapped up in the external affairs of the day, or fretting about the past or worried and fearful about the future.
To focus on the externals is to get caught up in the trap set for your soul. The battle is for your mind, it is a war for the direction of your thoughts and the intentions of your heart.
You must go within. Go with Christ. Deep calls out to deep. Within is where things change; within is where your will is most powerful. Within is where your destity is shaped.
Go within. Be changed into what God made you to be.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-54812091760808468882010-12-28T00:02:00.000-08:002010-12-28T00:07:04.450-08:00Wisdom Of The FathersPERSONAL POST:
Perhaps one of the greatest blessings of life has been the fact that my parents are real ones. I was born to two wonderful people that were destined to be His. And as they progressed on the path; asking, seeking and knocking for truth they found Christ. Through the years they stayed true to the revelation of who Christ Jesus is, Messiah and Savior. The Lamb of God that came to take away the sins of the world and who was, is and remains the only propitation for our sins and the price that must be paid.
Because my parents stuck it out, stayed together, hung in there when the going got tough and fought to keep Christ the center of our family life, I got as good a start as a young man could ask for. I was certainly given much in the things that are truly important in this life.
I say this to point out the fact that God intended His blessing to flow through the family, through a Godly line. It's also why the devil works so relentlessly to try and break up the family unit. To make men cowards, women controllers, children selfish users, all compromised in as many ways and areas as possible so the fabric of a home tears right down the middle. Part of why i'm where i am today is because my parents didn't go for satan's lie, but they trusted God and did what He said. And they were and are blessed. Plenty of flaws, yes, but they stayed true to the call and kept going.
Just a little reminder to those of you out there to continue to fight for your families. The best thing that you can do for them is to live a consistent Godly life in front of them and be real. Don't make it more complicated than that.
Anyway, recently i was blessed to talk with my godly dad about some of our favorite subject matter: Christ, the walk, Truth, the call in this time, etc. And we got on to the fact that Christ is I AM.
How much of the world system's focus is spent on trying to get you caught up into worrying about the future, or stressed about your past. If you are thinking about the current moment, that your focus is on something external, material and temporal. Christ is I AM, right here and right now. To be ever present is key to the walk in Christ. God is in this moment right now. People (especially worlders) look for Him in the wrong place. He's not in the fire, wind, earthquake ... All of the dramatics. He's in that still small voice. Quiet yourself under His hand. Still yourself. Stop. Listen. Stay. Enjoy His presence. Don't let the world catch you up into it's scripted drama. It's a well designed trap for your mind. Christ's sheep hear His voice. Stop and listen.
As my dad would say "be here now."
Blessings,
Govindafaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-80535187195750974162010-12-19T22:59:00.000-08:002010-12-19T23:04:22.324-08:00Blessed FellowshipIt's a beautiful thing when God allows us to have true fellowship with true children of God. How sweet it is, how refreshing along this often parched journey of life. In those times you recognize your brothers and sisters for who they are. There is no attempts to control, manipulate, steal, destroy or put asunder. None. What a contrast to time spent around worlders.
In blessed times spent around the true children of God you enjoy true fellowship; you enjoy the company of those who truly desire your best interest and who genuinely like you for who God made you to be. It is a restful, peaceful, joyful time. A time of laughter and refreshing.
The worlders have never known a time like that in this life. In order to even being to experience fellowship like this one has to first become a person who could be an appropriate part of that company. And that is a work of the Spirit of God. Without that transformation you'd never fit, there is a disconnect. One must be grafted into the vine and into true fellowship with the true Saints of God.
Prior to all of that you have to learn to be comfortable alone, at the feet of Jesus, in the wilderness. He is the central relationship, he is core. Intimacy begins with Him, and then overflows from that relationship into the lives of others. When you start with the central reality that Jesus is indeed enough, you are now in a position to recieve all things including true fellowship with the real ones. If He's not enough for you, you'll find your company with others who are in the same boat, all looking to find that missing piece in someone else.
A little tip: don't focus too much on yourself. Rather, look to be a help and a blessing to others as God would lead you. Self-centered thinking and selfishness is a bottomless pit. Seek first the Kingdom. Look to help and assist others. Be blessed.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-39659160986616204492010-11-21T17:31:00.000-08:002010-11-21T17:35:49.282-08:00Alone, But Not AloneIt can be a lonely walk some of the time ... Most of the time. While we have the occasional companion for a season, the fellow traveler, the moment soon comes when you must part company and each go on to your assigned task. It is a task you do alone. Even if you have apparent company, a spouse, friends, no one can see the struggle inside of you. That thing that tears at you, screaming at times to be free of it all, desiring to be what God made you to be.
You do it alone. You walk to your death (i.e. Carry your cross) alone. At least is sure does feel like it ...
But then you realize, you are not alone. The Master who called you to follow Him, the One that you love, the King of your soul, He is there. Leading you, walking besides you, His Glory is your rear guard. On every side He is there.
He allows the loneliness, the suffering, the rocky trail, because He is making something out of you. A disciple, a warrior, a friend, a lover of Truth, a royal priesthood, and a blessed child of God that will grow to be the man (or woman) He has destined you to be.
There is no other way, it is the path of freedom. You walk it alone ... But never alone.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-71071564269925454872010-11-17T10:45:00.000-08:002010-11-17T10:50:02.870-08:00Unexpected Acts Of Kindness ...... They are a rare thing in the day and the age we live in. For someone to do something for you, not with an hidden agenda, but purely because they want to do something nice for you. Someone who wants to bless you in some small or big way ... What a blessing it is when you encounter one of these acts and the people that do them! How refreshing to the soul and the spirit on this often rough and rocky journey of life.
Small Thought: When was the last time that you did something kind for someone? Not because they were expecting it, or it was a birthday or a special occasion.
Just because.
Just for the fun of it.
When you get your eyes off yourself, your situation and hardships and say within yourself "despite everything, i've still got something to give. I can bless. I can help, even in a small way and so i shall" amazing things happen. It is actually a remedy to personal misery.
Selfishness is a bottomless pit that will never be filled. But when you spend your life on behalf of the will of God and in service to others there is an amazing fulfillment that comes as a result. It is part of the good in us that should be unlocked by an encounter with Christ.
Be kind. Bless others. Pray for those who persecute you and for those who would spitefully use you. They need Jesus too, perhaps they may change and your prayer would have been what made the difference. The worlders are miserable and need Jesus. Pray for them, that they will have that encounter and come to themselves, even as the prodigal son did in the pig pen of life.
Along those lines, it is often a pure act of kindness as led by the Holy Spirit that will jar a person. It refreshes a saint and shocks a sinner. It hits them like a ton of bricks when they realize that you do something for no other reason than a desire to bless them and God is leading you to do it. Your Spirit led actions are more powerful than your words. Talking of kindness is not the same as actually experiencing kindness. Talk of love is different than experiencing love.
Allow God to make you the living example of the change in the world you feel compelled to see. Bless someone today, unexpectedly. Let God lead you and do it. Most who try this will actually find that they enjoy the process. It truly is more blessed to give than to recieve. Have fun :-)
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-10643756617032484082010-10-28T13:30:00.000-07:002010-10-28T13:31:00.847-07:00Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps ...... We might turn around. Give up. Throw in the towel. Call it quits. Give up the ghost. After all, who can make war against the Beast? Who can oppose what we are surrounded by; that which seems to grow stronger by the day.
Maybe if they just throw one more log into the fiery furnace you'll melt with fear and bow your knee. Most have and many will. What about you?
1 John 2:15-17
Friends. It is not easy. But it is simple. Bow your knee to the Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ. And stay at His feet every day of your life. You only get up to fulfill the instructions He gives you, but at His feet is your resting place. Your default point. Your reset button amidst the challenges and trials of life.
It is at His feet that you receive His Rhema, your daily bread. He feeds you, comforts you, provides for you and the needs of your soul. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength (Isa 40:31).
Mount up sir eagle and fly. Fly madame eagle, sour above the storms of life. Let the winds of the Spirit of God carry you above it all. In order to fly you have to first learn to kneel.
We bow only to Him. We serve only Him. We worship only Him. We have no other God. We need nothing else but Jesus. He is enough to satisfy the needs and the desires of your soul.
Pain will come on this journey. Suffering is a companion of the follower of Christ during their journey through this life. But if you allow the Spirit of God to work in you and to change your heart, pain won't hurt you. Yes, it might sting, but it can do no real harm in the end. It just becomes part of the process we go through and what God uses to shape us into what He would have us to be.
Just as the sharp chisel cuts into the rock sculpture being shaped under the master's hand, so we experience pain. It's o.k. It'll be o.k. Consider it pure joy when you face and experience these things. God knows what He is doing with you.
Many times God actually sends His people into situations on purpose where we will encounter suffering. Just look at the life of Jesus. But God was there in it all, working out a plan and a purpose that would change the world. Thank God Jesus wasn't thinking about His own comfort when He walked through His journey of life. Nor should we.
Trust. Obey. Follow Him. Let the rest be what it is. You just keep walking with Jesus.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-81820843872560315712010-10-23T21:44:00.000-07:002010-10-24T11:06:59.086-07:00Rolling Out "The Mark"A tried and true tactic of the world system is to create a "problem - reaction - solution" situation. To get you to want and request what they want to give you and to ask for the poison by name. We were just thinking today about the many ways that the world system could even this day roll out and market a chip, an RFID tag, that would go in the forehead or right hand:

Financial Transactions Ease - Can't buy and sell without it, so easy to do with it.

Identity Security and Identity Theft -Increasingly a problem in the world. Not everyone that offers you a helping hand has your best interest at heart. Not everyone that says Lord Lord ... Well, you know that one (Matthew 7).
Another cliche, "you can't judge a book by its cover" is a spin on God's original: "Man looks at the outward appearance, God looks at the Heart." There are those who outwardly appear to be allies on the way, friends on the path. But within (the place where God sees even though they seek to hide it) they are ravenous wolves that at an opportune time would seek to devour a child of God if they have sufficient access.
The most twisted hypocrites don't show up on day one overtly telegraphing their devilish intent. No, they come in slowly. They seek to win your trust. They offer you help in a time of trouble. Not out of a genuine heart expecting nothing in return as God's children do. They offer you assistance, a meal, something, anything as a means to an end. An elaborate trap to unfold with time.
The ultimate goal that they are being demonicly inspired towards is the destruction of the child of God. But they need your permission to do it. They need you to allow them in, to give them access, to grant them your trust.
Much of this is avoidably if a Child of God:
1. Listens and obeys the instructions of the Holy Spirit.
2. Has nothing they desire in the world (otherwise the world has a hook in you).
Most are snared by a hidden love in their heart that is not Christ. I reserved desire, a "secret place", that which is too dear to them to let go. It will kill you. Or rather, it will be the access point for those that will take you to your death (spiritual, natural or both).
You will have no other God but Him. No other way but Him. No other desire but Him. And from that complete and total surrender at the foot of the Cross you will find that all things flow and the life that you lead in this world will come.
Seek nothing for yourself in this world. And be ready and willing to let it all go in a moment at the Word of Christ. If you do not, you are not fit to follow Him. And you will remain where you are, by your choice; Dead, alone, with a few toys and trinkets you got for selling out. And you'll occasionally gather with those who are similar to you and have made the same compromised choice to encourage each other that you are O.K. "We did the right thing ... Right? After all, a man's got to eat? How can i take care of my family? Blah, Blah, Blah ..."
You know in your heart if you are following Him. If you've surrendered all. You also know your hidden motives, secret pleasures, deepest desires ... You think God doesn't see those too? And you think He won't make those known when and where necessary? Don't fool yourself. He knows.
Be real. Be honest. Come into the Light (fully). Drop the dead weights and the parasitic people when God reveals to you who they are. It's not your problem to solve. He is the Savior, not you. If they turn they too can be healed, saved and set free. Again, it's not your problem to solve. You've said your piece. Move on.
Yours is to walk on, following and trusting Jesus. To walk on, alone when necessary (if that is what it feels like to you then call it that and embrace it, this too is the will of God).
All is a gift from Him, even the loneliness. We recieve with grateful hearts what He provides us on this journey. Don't take your eyes off Him for a moment; it's when you do that you begin to sink. If you keep your eyes on Him, trust and obey, you will walk on water all the days of your life.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-45107329470473560542010-09-12T14:58:00.000-07:002010-09-12T14:59:32.066-07:00Rope A DopeClassic strategy. Let your enemy spend himself. Let your enemy pull out all the stops and relentlessly thrash you with everything he has, and you take it. You endure the punishment for a window of time ...
To the saints of God in America; you are in a Rope A Dope situation. And the enemy is pulling out everything he can to antagonize, discredit, harm, discourage, kill the saints of God and block the Truth from the people. Yours is a call to endure and to wait on the Spirit of God. Soon there will be a call from His Spirit, "now is the time of reversal". It will come at that moment where the enemy has spent himself to take you out and you've not gone down. You are still in the fight, still pressing on, enduring to the end. That moment draws near where God now tells you to get off the ropes and strike. His Spirit rises up inside of you, comes upon you to do His will.
Our battle is not with flesh and blood, the war is fought and won in the Spirit. There are demonic forces attempting to provoke God's hand and to push Biblical events to happen earlier than God intends. It won't work. In fact, it will backfire. God won't be provoked, rather He will embarrass those who try too manipulate His hand to act. That which the Devil intends for evil God will cause to work for Good! There will be a reversal in America, a push back from the True people of God as led by the Spirit, amidst all that transpires in the days to come. It will come on God's timing, once the enemy reaches the peak of frustration that all of his efforts to kick this into high gear are not working. No, the enemies of God will get bogged down into an unanticipated quagmire of internal contempt, external incompetence and spiritual impotence as their powers wane prior to them being completely stripped in the soon coming confrontation where Light rises up.
Fear not people of God, He has allowed all that has come to pass so that evil could be manifest and shown for what it is. They are exposed now. Prepare yourselves for the call to action. Don't go down. Don't give up. The call is coming.
In Christ,
The faithmix teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-32015286891543280562010-09-01T13:01:00.000-07:002010-09-01T13:02:39.263-07:00Nothing To SayWe have nothing to say unless the Spirit of God moves us to speak. There is nothing we desire to do unless God is in it. Why would we want to move, act, speak unless it was motivated by His Spirit?

When everything done apart from the Spirit of God is dry, withering up and dead, who in their right minds (i.e. the Mind of Christ) would want to be a part of dead works and that which has no true value? Not us. Not the true Children of God.
Moreover, the Children of God do not care to build up a following (that is what the worlders do for the sake of harnessing power which they lack in themselves). We have no need of man-made power, we have a greater source in connection to the Father. The source of all Power that is superior to all others rests in Him. Why would we ever desire an inferior and limited source?
We lose all, only to find that we have actually gained all in Him. Most try to get the latter and miss the former; the necessary step to discipleship and following Christ. We have no room to sugar coat the Gospel. The raw pill to be swallowed is death NOW to everything you ever desired or hoped for in yourself apart from Him. There is no other way around your own personal crucifixion (just so you know, the paradox is that it is also the path to true Life).
DON'T you ever be counted among those who repackage their worldly ambitions in a Jesus box. You think that fools the God of this Universe who sees all, knows all, and judges the motives and intentions of the Heart? How do you think He will deal with those that use His Name (misrepresenting Him) to try and advance their own worldly carnal agendas? It is purely His mercy granting them a space of time to repent rather than withdrawing their breath from them this very moment and casting their souls into a well deserved and chosen hell.
You're not fooling anyone for long. Truthfully, who you are and what you are about will be visible and tangibly known TO ALL and for ALL ETERNITY! If you are fooling anyone it is just for a short time on this side of life. Once you cross over the very same people on the otherside will say "Oh ..." when they see and understand who you really are.
To those who live in the Light they understand on this side, they understand this day. We see clearly what is what and who is who. There are no more surprises. We knew who Judas was and what he would eventually do from the first day that he joined our company. But God's will be done. We carry on fully knowing that those who betray us walk alongside us with a smile, looking for their opportunity. No matter. They cannot touch our souls, nor can they direct our eternity which rests in God's hands as we have put our trust in Him. We will run our course here. We do exercise wisdom when and where necessary, not seeking unnecessary martyrdom (another elaborate form of self-will and personal elevation).
We do what He says, when He says, how He says, with whom He says. All flows from the Head which is Christ. Beautiful fellowship and peace is available in Him, to those who are now grafted in through the work of the cross and the blood of Jesus. Alas, it is simple. It may not be easy, but it certainly is simple.
To him (or her) that has an ear, let them hear.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-51292645846933270792010-08-18T13:27:00.000-07:002010-08-18T13:28:26.820-07:00Counter StrikeAh yes, the turnaround. We love it! It's not all the time getting shot down, kicked around, beaten and left for dead. Whenever God feels like it His Spirit rises up in us and in a moment reminds our enemies and the entire World System that Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
In a moment He dumbfounds them all. And it just takes a moment, just one incident to knock over their entire house of cards. While they labor and strive against the children of God with deliberate and diabolical schemes hatched in the realm of the demonic, in just a moment in can all come to naught. Remember Daniel in the Lions den? The wicked thought they had it all figured out. They had dotted their "I"s and crossed their "T"s. The one factor that the wicked men who plotted against Daniel never counted on was God having something to say about it.
And God didn't have to do much. He just told His angel to keep the lions mouths shut for the night. Oh, the lions would get fed soon enough!! God feeds the lions, the birds, and those who seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness. He takes care of His own. The wicked ALWAYS reap what they have sown.
The realization of the true state of affairs often comes for the saints of God when they are in their darkest hour. It is at that time when they continue to look to God and He moves, and the Light breaks forth, THEN they understand!
It's all good in Jesus. Don't worry about a thing! Down for a moment but God's people are never out. Whereas the wicked are laid low in a moment and they never recover. Wicked Be Warned: You cross the wrong one, if you cross one marked for God you have a date with the lions ... and they've gotten really hungry overnight. The moment you realize what you've done is the moment when your scheme collapsed and you are hurtling to your cowardly death screaming in fear. You crossed a true child of God, playing a game with your soul and you lost.
Oops! ;-)
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071905172146726529.post-66312258190969388342010-08-10T14:01:00.001-07:002010-08-10T14:01:36.671-07:00A Cruel JokeAt times that can be what this life feels like. Why hope for what never seems to come? Why want and have any desire to only have them thwarted or ripped from under you at the first hint of being fulfilled ... Pain and tears. Most don't want that. How could a loving God allow that?
So people look for the quick fix. How do i get what i want? "God didn't come through, and doesn't it say that He helps those who help themselves?" (please catch the necessary sarcasm).
Desires, hopes, emotions, dreams. To have them is pain and sorrow. The Buddhist suggestion is to empty yourself of all desire, and in doing so you will be free. The logic being that if you want nothing and desire nothing then there is nothing holding you back, nothing that can make you sad or rampage your emotional state as you twist and turn in a churning sea of unfulfilled hopes and expectations. O.K. So empty yourself. Go ahead ... Not so easy is it.
You don't live in a vacuum and also the human being is a vessel. If one thing goes out something else comes in. It is the nature of the human being to be filled with something. That is why the followers of Christ are instructed to be "filled with the Holy Spirit."
Note: To let go is important. You will serve nothing else besides Christ. All other hopes, desires and dreams fall at the foot of that Cross. It is a death, and a painful one at that. Pain because you thought you had a right to that hope or desire. We have no rights as slaves of Christ. We are soldiers for Him to do with as He wishes. That said, know that He is kind, He is just. He is trying to give us His best (the abundant life) if only we'd trust Him enough to recieve it.
It is painful, but He is cutting the cancer of self out of you. It is the will of God that your desires, hopes and dreams be manifest in their fullness, only to be crushed completely until there is nothing left but Him in you. No hope but Him. No desire, no dream but Him. Nothing left but Jesus. And from that place He can make out of you what He wills unto His glory, with your full compliance and willful participation in the process. You are nothing but a dejected mess on the floor in tears before the Father. He likes that, He can do something with that. Let a man think he has something he can offer to God that is of value and you meet a man that is yet to be broken in that area and all others underlying it. Completely shattered lives turned over to Him.
Does it scare you to be so utterly broken? Does it scare you to allow the hand of God to shape and fire you? To burn every hope and desire out of you till there is nothing left but Him. Why does is scare you? It is the path of freedom. He allows for your weeping with promise. That though your weeping may last for the night, His joy comes in the morning.
In Christ,
The faithmix Teamfaithmixhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16717918915426965797noreply@blogger.com1
