Listen And Learn

To many are tossed too and fro with every wind of doctrine. No foundation in Truth, no foundation in Christ Jesus. When you listen to His voice, when you settle yourself at His feet ... you learn and you grow. And when you learn you know what to do as you walk through this life.

When your life is filled with His Word, the living Word of God, in that place when something contrary comes your way you know it. It does not match. It is not in oneness with the voice of the Spirit of God witnessing inside your soul. God speaks, His people listen. They follow the voice of the Good shepherd.

The world bombards you and your mind to try to break that oneness you have with the Spirit of God. Love of money, love of self, pride, sex outside of God's provision in the covenant of marriage, lying, ... Sin breaks your oneness with God and His Holy Spirit.

Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus! Why? Because the mind that is in Christ Jesus is one with God. A mind that is in you that is NOT the same as Christ Jesus' is NOT one with God. That mind is not at peace. That mind does not know the way to go and does not know what to do nor how to do it.

Listen to the voice of the Spirit of God. When you hear Him, obey Him. It is simple, so simple that a child can do it (and often does). Love God, love Truth, love to give, love to be poured out according to the will of God.

Be Blessed,

Rise And Fall

It is in God's hands, the rising and the falling of individuals, families, towns, cities, states, nations. If He decrees prosperity, a land prospers. If He declares destruction a nation crumbles. All is under His power and authority.

That said, He allows for the expression of free will and decision making. He wants His creation to choose life, yet He allows them to decide the way they will go. He calls out to many, but they must make the choice to respond to the call or to reject truth and continue in their own way/the way of the World. God is not looking for robots. He wants a Bride that above all else and through every obstacle still chooses to press through to be with the one she loves. That is who Jesus wants to spend eternity with. Not with the harlet with roving eyes, but his beloved who only has eyes for the Son. Her only desire is Him and no other.

God tests that resolve when someone chooses to start down the track to be with Christ. He tests the will and the decision one makes to want to be with Him. Really? You want to walk with Him? You want to know Him? At what cost, how far are you willing to go? Will you meet Him in like fashion; laying down all to be with you (and I).

He wants us to be equally yolked with Him. It is a wedding and an eternal union. Once He knows you will follow Him, that your heart is only for Him, there is no more need for you to be on the fire of testing. You are done. You are now ready for your showing and to engage in the work He has destined for you in this life. Sure, you will go through difficulties and you will encounter challenges, but they won't be the same as before. Something within has changed so that the externals don't determine your state. Your reality is now firmly rooted in the Kingdom that is within.

Know that He is control. Make the choice to choose life. Whatever He gives you to do, seek to do it well and as unto Him. Choose to live and not just to exist. Be thankful for what you have and what you get for your labours, be it a lot or a little. Look to Him for all things.

What You Can Change And What You Cannot

We've heard it expressed in numerous ways, "You can't change others, the only thing you can change is the way that you respond to them." It's true. This is part of the discipline of the disciple of Christ Jesus. To learn mastery of thyself. To possess your vessel. You present your body a living sacrifice. You are required to do that, I am required do that. (Scriptures calling it your "reasonable service" in Romans 12 essentially means that the least we can do is live holy). The will is involved, the will is engaged.

This is true of our response to others, of our response to this fallen world and all that it does. We have little to no control of all that is going on around us. In fact, there are many seasons where God allows evil to flourish (prior to it's destruction, a time of filling up the cup so to speak). Ours is not to create a utopia on earth, ours is to walk with and serve the King. It begins within. The Kingdom is within.

It is within that you have the ability to make change, it is within where you have the ability to surrender all to the will of God, to the Prince Of Peace. It is within that you can do what you long to see done in the world without. Within you can surrender to God, you can seek to follow Him, you can obey His voice, you can cast down everything that exhalts itself against the knowledge of God. That is also why they work so hard to try and keep you "with-out"; to keep you wrapped up in the external affairs of the day, or fretting about the past or worried and fearful about the future.

To focus on the externals is to get caught up in the trap set for your soul. The battle is for your mind, it is a war for the direction of your thoughts and the intentions of your heart.

You must go within. Go with Christ. Deep calls out to deep. Within is where things change; within is where your will is most powerful. Within is where your destity is shaped.

Go within. Be changed into what God made you to be.

Wisdom Of The Fathers

PERSONAL POST:
Perhaps one of the greatest blessings of life has been the fact that my parents are real ones. I was born to two wonderful people that were destined to be His. And as they progressed on the path; asking, seeking and knocking for truth they found Christ. Through the years they stayed true to the revelation of who Christ Jesus is, Messiah and Savior. The Lamb of God that came to take away the sins of the world and who was, is and remains the only propitation for our sins and the price that must be paid.

Because my parents stuck it out, stayed together, hung in there when the going got tough and fought to keep Christ the center of our family life, I got as good a start as a young man could ask for. I was certainly given much in the things that are truly important in this life.

I say this to point out the fact that God intended His blessing to flow through the family, through a Godly line. It's also why the devil works so relentlessly to try and break up the family unit. To make men cowards, women controllers, children selfish users, all compromised in as many ways and areas as possible so the fabric of a home tears right down the middle. Part of why i'm where i am today is because my parents didn't go for satan's lie, but they trusted God and did what He said. And they were and are blessed. Plenty of flaws, yes, but they stayed true to the call and kept going.

Just a little reminder to those of you out there to continue to fight for your families. The best thing that you can do for them is to live a consistent Godly life in front of them and be real. Don't make it more complicated than that.

Anyway, recently i was blessed to talk with my godly dad about some of our favorite subject matter: Christ, the walk, Truth, the call in this time, etc. And we got on to the fact that Christ is I AM.

How much of the world system's focus is spent on trying to get you caught up into worrying about the future, or stressed about your past. If you are thinking about the current moment, that your focus is on something external, material and temporal. Christ is I AM, right here and right now. To be ever present is key to the walk in Christ. God is in this moment right now. People (especially worlders) look for Him in the wrong place. He's not in the fire, wind, earthquake ... All of the dramatics. He's in that still small voice. Quiet yourself under His hand. Still yourself. Stop. Listen. Stay. Enjoy His presence. Don't let the world catch you up into it's scripted drama. It's a well designed trap for your mind. Christ's sheep hear His voice. Stop and listen.

As my dad would say "be here now."

Blessings,

Govinda

Blessed Fellowship

It's a beautiful thing when God allows us to have true fellowship with true children of God. How sweet it is, how refreshing along this often parched journey of life. In those times you recognize your brothers and sisters for who they are. There is no attempts to control, manipulate, steal, destroy or put asunder. None. What a contrast to time spent around worlders.

In blessed times spent around the true children of God you enjoy true fellowship; you enjoy the company of those who truly desire your best interest and who genuinely like you for who God made you to be. It is a restful, peaceful, joyful time. A time of laughter and refreshing.

The worlders have never known a time like that in this life. In order to even being to experience fellowship like this one has to first become a person who could be an appropriate part of that company. And that is a work of the Spirit of God. Without that transformation you'd never fit, there is a disconnect. One must be grafted into the vine and into true fellowship with the true Saints of God.

Prior to all of that you have to learn to be comfortable alone, at the feet of Jesus, in the wilderness. He is the central relationship, he is core. Intimacy begins with Him, and then overflows from that relationship into the lives of others. When you start with the central reality that Jesus is indeed enough, you are now in a position to recieve all things including true fellowship with the real ones. If He's not enough for you, you'll find your company with others who are in the same boat, all looking to find that missing piece in someone else.

A little tip: don't focus too much on yourself. Rather, look to be a help and a blessing to others as God would lead you. Self-centered thinking and selfishness is a bottomless pit. Seek first the Kingdom. Look to help and assist others. Be blessed.

Alone, But Not Alone

It can be a lonely walk some of the time ... Most of the time. While we have the occasional companion for a season, the fellow traveler, the moment soon comes when you must part company and each go on to your assigned task. It is a task you do alone. Even if you have apparent company, a spouse, friends, no one can see the struggle inside of you. That thing that tears at you, screaming at times to be free of it all, desiring to be what God made you to be.

You do it alone. You walk to your death (i.e. Carry your cross) alone. At least is sure does feel like it ...

But then you realize, you are not alone. The Master who called you to follow Him, the One that you love, the King of your soul, He is there. Leading you, walking besides you, His Glory is your rear guard. On every side He is there.

He allows the loneliness, the suffering, the rocky trail, because He is making something out of you. A disciple, a warrior, a friend, a lover of Truth, a royal priesthood, and a blessed child of God that will grow to be the man (or woman) He has destined you to be.

There is no other way, it is the path of freedom. You walk it alone ... But never alone.

Unexpected Acts Of Kindness ...

... They are a rare thing in the day and the age we live in. For someone to do something for you, not with an hidden agenda, but purely because they want to do something nice for you. Someone who wants to bless you in some small or big way ... What a blessing it is when you encounter one of these acts and the people that do them! How refreshing to the soul and the spirit on this often rough and rocky journey of life.

Small Thought: When was the last time that you did something kind for someone? Not because they were expecting it, or it was a birthday or a special occasion.

Just because.

Just for the fun of it.

When you get your eyes off yourself, your situation and hardships and say within yourself "despite everything, i've still got something to give. I can bless. I can help, even in a small way and so i shall" amazing things happen. It is actually a remedy to personal misery.

Selfishness is a bottomless pit that will never be filled. But when you spend your life on behalf of the will of God and in service to others there is an amazing fulfillment that comes as a result. It is part of the good in us that should be unlocked by an encounter with Christ.

Be kind. Bless others. Pray for those who persecute you and for those who would spitefully use you. They need Jesus too, perhaps they may change and your prayer would have been what made the difference. The worlders are miserable and need Jesus. Pray for them, that they will have that encounter and come to themselves, even as the prodigal son did in the pig pen of life.

Along those lines, it is often a pure act of kindness as led by the Holy Spirit that will jar a person. It refreshes a saint and shocks a sinner. It hits them like a ton of bricks when they realize that you do something for no other reason than a desire to bless them and God is leading you to do it. Your Spirit led actions are more powerful than your words. Talking of kindness is not the same as actually experiencing kindness. Talk of love is different than experiencing love.

Allow God to make you the living example of the change in the world you feel compelled to see. Bless someone today, unexpectedly. Let God lead you and do it. Most who try this will actually find that they enjoy the process. It truly is more blessed to give than to recieve. Have fun :-)
