It Comes With Authority ...

Responsibility.  As much as people in the world desire to lord over one another, to make decisions that effect others, to be in control, few understand the price tag associated with position and authority.  The greater your authority, the bigger the impact of your decisions.  The stronger the impact of the choices you make on the lives of others.  The cost of failure is greater and the benefit of success is further reaching.

Allow God to grow you at His own pace, he is the gardener.  He knows what you need and what you do not need.  He knows what you can handle and what you cannot.  He knows your limits and your limitations and He will stretch you, mold you, build you and fashion you into His image in His time.  But you will need to trust Him and submit yourself to His hand; submit yourself to His leadership and to His guidance through it all.

To seek position or power independent of Him that you do not have the grace of God to handle is a mistake.  Submit your desires, ambitions and thoughts unto Him and accept His choices for you, for He will lead and guide you into all truth and order your steps.

Pro 14:12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Do not go the way of your mind and thoughts, but look to the Spirit to lead and guide you:

Pro 3:1  My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
Pro 3:2  For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Pro 3:3  Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Pro 3:4  So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

For the follower of Christ it is a life of Spirit, led by the Spirit ...

Joh 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Joh 3:8  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Be encouraged for He is in control.  You only need to submit yourself to His Lordship, to His guidance, to His authority in your life of your free will and your choice.  In that place of existence, He will move with and through you because you choose it, you desire it.  Be at peace and trust Him in all things. Shalom.

Absolutely true- surrender, subjection ,dependence and trust in God’s Lordship removes every lack and inability…. God has filled our hearts with Wonder ….where we will always remember….that Authority… is a gift from God we receive….Resourced from Above ,delegated by Him….To some to rule Nations and few others where one is called
Hey that is surely a Word of encouragement ..Thanks and God bless you … for re-iterating complete surrender is the key. I personally needed that re-iteration.
Jesus speaks of authority in a different light altogether when He was asked “Tell us ,By what authority are you doing these things ?Or who is he who gave You this authority?”John 19:10
You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above.
By this authority ….Pilate who was given the power to crucify does not become greater than Jesus just because he had that authority to crucify.
And Jesus who had all the Authority and power over life and death…still chose to wash the disciples feet.
To one he gives 5 talents , to another two and to another one,to each according to His ability.I realise Magnitude of authority does not make one small or big?…..I believe more than the authority …it is the responsibility towards that authority that makes one small or big. This small or big again,is in God’s perspective…His sheep or the goats that he would disregard. And something that amazes me is when God has all the authority …yet He does not keep anything to Himself….He gives and gives and gives …..just to make His children smile…..even the authority He delegates.
And why would God delegate authority when He could have had all of the authority… and something really interesting …Why does God speak of God’s authority over man and Man’s authority over woman … Why that protocol?. In love God speaks about equality but in ‘ who is head over the other?’ …God speaks of the weaker vessel and the stronger one. That answer is fulfilled in His responsibility-being a Good Steward towards His bride that relationship with an integrity .As” authority or power belongs to God alone” and rightly said Authority comes with responsibility ….. that Stewardship with integrity and humility. Just handling well that which God has handed down, not Lording over …but a responsibility - A Stewardship…
The Father in the Son and the Son in the Father, so much in onenenss, that what the Father does the Son knows, Son does and what the Son does the Father knows, Father does…out of that ultimate relationship of togethereness and oneness in love , with integrity…..Faithfulness; that rather than Lording over one another it is shared, equal and responsible.
The answer further I saw lies in Jesus words itself …”Lord you gave me 5 talents , I have gained 5 more”
There is the answer…”Faithful”…you were faithful over few things and so I will make you ruler over many things….’Enter’ into the joy of your Lord. And “Joy “of the Lord is the Kingdom of God…and responsibility with faithfulness is the language, the character, the attribute of the Kingdom of God.
For to everyone who has ,more will be given ,and he will have abundance;but from him who does not have ,even what he has will be taken away.
And all of this Responsibility -Stewardship with humility ,integrity and faithfulness in a nutshell is ‘ability’ again coming from within….if one is in a strong bonding with God ,his ability will obviously carry the Anointing of God and ……one with less ability ,means He is not telling enough “Your grace is sufficient for me” ,Perhaps trusting in his own abilities in a nutshell.
And God bless abundantly you for being an encouragement even in authority …that which comes from God alone…Shalom….Anchored In Him…Vanita
